THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district held relatively steady on Monday.
The district health unit reported 59 new cases since Friday.
This brought the active case count to 118, an increase of four since the previous report.
TBDHU said 19 district residents are in hospital with COVID-19, none of whom are in intensive care.
The same data was reported on Friday.
It's important to note that case counts are no longer considered accurate due to a lack of access to molecular testing in Ontario.
Health officials have said the true number could be five times higher or more.
