THUNDER BAY - The local airport is asking people to expect long line ups before a flight Tuesday.
Thunder Bay International Airport and Airports Authority CEO Ed Schmidtke said it'll take at least an hour to get through long security line ups as canceled flights do to a storm in Southern Ontario Monday night has made for plenty of delays and a full slate of flights Tuesday.
Nearly every airline had at least one plane on the ground waiting to fly out of Thunder Bay Tuesday afternoon. He's encouraging people to check flight times and arrive at the airport early.
"Today of all days would be a good time to do that," he said.
Despite the hectic schedule, Schmitdke said most flights are only between 60 and 90 minutes off.
