THUNDER BAY -- A missing eight-year-old boy who was the subject Tuesday of an Amber Alert, has been found safe.

Thunder Bay Police earlier in the evening announced they were scouring locations on the north side of the city, having set up a command post for a search team in the areas of John Street Road and Valley Street.

Police were searching for the boy's father, Christopher Poulin and had not ruled out that he was en route to Saskatchewan.

Poulin, 28, was arrested without incident at about 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday and has been charged with abduction, forcible confinement and breach of release order. He's been remanded into custody and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday.
