The Lakehead Region Conservation Authority is asking Thunder Bay area residents to cut back on their water supply.

Below average precipitation during the summer and fall has prompted the LRCA to declare a level one low water condition.

That means water users are being asked to reduce their water consumption by 10 per cent.

LRCA chairman Bill Bartley said the limited amount of rain in the last couple of months is a concern.

The advisory impacts residents living in Thunder Bay and surrounding municipalities.
