HORNEPAYNE, Ont. — A 58-year-old man will appear in court in December to answer to multiple charges after a recent incident near Hornepayne.

Ontario Provincial Police received a tip that someone was towing a boat behind an ATV, and that another person was riding in the boat while consuming alcohol.

After investigating officers located the driver and his machine on a gravel road just south of the community, they determined the operator was impaired.

He's charged with operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs, operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit, and operating a vehicle while prohibited under the Criminal Code.

The Hornepayne resident was also issued a 90-day administrative driver's licence suspension.

As well, his vehicle was impounded for 90 days.
