THUNDER BAY -- City police are investigating another hotel robbery.
The most recent investigation follows an incident reported to have taken place just before midnight on Monday, July 14.
Police say a lone male armed with a knife and a can of what is believed to be bear spray entered the Nor’ Wester Resort Hotel and demanded money from the hotel clerk. The suspect threatened to spray the clerk.
The hotel clerk was able to run to safety and was not injured during this incident.
Police are looking for a Caucasian man standing between five-feet-eight-inches and five-feet-10-inches tall. He had an average build.
The suspect also wore a black hoodie with large blue letters, a black toque, sunglasses and gloves.
This is the second known hotel robbery since this weekend, and police say they will be working with local hotels. Zone officers will be providing information for the safety of the employees as well as increasing patrols.
