Drivers in the Northwood area will once again have to find a new route to access the Harbour Expressway as construction and repaving is now underway at the Golf Links Road intersection.
City of Thunder Bay Project Engineer Rick Harms says the project involves the removal of asphalt and repaving of the south side of the big intersection. For the few days, the left and right turn lanes onto and off Golf Links Road are closed.
The project is expected to take until the end of next week and will be the last disruption at the Harbour Expressway.
Harms adds that due to minor complications, the Golf Links four-laning project is about two weeks behind schedule.
Completion is now slated for mid-November.
