Update: APS, OPP investigate fatal ATV collision

APS and OPP are investigating a fatal collision involving an ATV that claimed the life of one person.

APS, OPP respond to fatal ATV collision on Monday afternoon.

GINOOGAMING FIRST NATION – One person is dead following a collision involving an all-terrain vehicle in Ginoogaming First Nation.

According to an Anishinabek Police Service release, officers of the Ginoogaming First Nation Detachment of the Anishinabek Police Service responded to a collision on Monday around 2 p.m. involving an all-terrain vehicle on Catlonite Road.

Police say an ATV was southbound on Catlonite Road when it left the roadway and rolled over.

The driver of the ATV suffered a serious head injury and succumbed to their injuries while on route to Greenstone Hospital.

Police say the deceased is a 14-year-old female from Longlac.

At the request of the family her name is not being released.
