The Thunder Bay area saw a slight increase to its jobless rate in August.
According to Statistics Canada, the unemployment rate for this area was 6.1 per cent in August. That’s a small increase from the six per cent recorded in July.
The Thunder Bay area’s jobless rate remains well below the province’s average of 7.5 per cent.
Nationally, the rate of unemployment sits at 7.1 per cent
