By City of Thunder Bay Concession stands at city arenas, now operated by the City of Thunder Bay as a pilot project, will be open for business as usual Friday evening and will be open through the weekend.
"Hopefully things continue to go as well as they did this week – in five days we’ve made a successful transition in operations," said Tom Forsythe, concession pilot project manager. "I am pleased that we are able to get almost 35 people back to work as quickly as we did.
"That in retrospect is the most important aspect of this fast transition. We look forward to being able to serve the public with concessions again and we do anticipate seeing some changes in products being offered and several prices lowered starting as early as next week."
