A man remains in custody after making threats with a knife following an argument Sunday morning.

Officers with the Thunder Bay Police Service responded to calls from a home in the 200 block of Manitou Street just after midnight.

Police say when officers arrived they entered the home where several people were inside. Officers say they saw a 45-year-old woman bleeding from her hand.

It is alleged that an argument began between the victim and a man inside the home. The man threatened the woman with a knife, while the woman cut her finger after she grabbed and broke a beer bottle.

The 30-year-old man was arrested without incident and brought to the Thunder Bay Police Station.

He has been remanded to the district jail and is charged with assault with a weapon and uttering threats.
