Thunder Bay police have a man in custody facing weapons charges following an alleged Limbrick Street break and enter early Wednesday morning.

In a release, police said a man entered a residence around 1:48 a.m., armed with a knife with a five-inch blade, appearing to be under the influence of alcohol at the time.

A resident inside the home at the time called police from an upstairs room, all the while trying to get the suspect, who police did not name, to leave.

Police arrived within minutes and took the man into custody without incident. No one was hurt.

He is expected to appear in court at a later date to face charges of break and enter and weapons dangerous.
