Armed robber strikes Syndicate Avenue Mac's

Police are investigating yet another armed robbery at a south-side convenience store.

Police allege at about 5:30 p.m. on Monday a male suspect entered the Mac’s Convenience Store on Syndicate Avenue, brandished a knife and demanded money from the male cashier on duty. He fled with a small quantity of cash and headed toward Donald Street.

The suspect is described as a thinly-built male between 20 and 25 years of age. He was wearing a brown hoodie, a beanie-style hat, jeans and white runners. His face was covered by a black and yellow scarf.
