Police have shut down a street on the city’s South side following an overnight robbery.
SWAT and other police units are on scene at a residence on the 800 block of Northern Avenue, attempting to speak with a person of interest in a Mac’s Store robbery that occurred just before 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
A man armed with a gun robbed the store on 708 May St. and fled the scene.
A search, including the police K-9 unit was used. A residence on Northern Avenue is now the focus of that search police say.
Northern Avenue between May Street and McKellar Street is currently blocked off.
There are no injuries reported in either incident.
