Armed suspect sought in convenience store heist

Thunder Bay police are looking for a man who robbed a Mac’s Convenience Store on Wednesday night. In a release issued early Thursday morning, police said the suspect entered the company’s May Street location at about 10:30 p.m.

Thunder Bay police are looking for a man who robbed a Mac’s Convenience Store on Wednesday night.

In a release issued early Thursday morning, police said the suspect entered the company’s May Street location at about 10:30 p.m. armed with a knife and demanded cash.

The suspect is described as an Aboriginal male wearing a light-coloured hoody and stood approximately 6-foot-1.

The man left on foot and fled toward Dease Street with an undisclosed sum of money.

No one was injured in the incident.
