THUNDER BAY — Ontario Provincial Police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal collision on Highway 11/17 in December 2023.
The incident occurred near Mirror Lake in Shuniah, and took the life of a 63-year-old Longlac woman.
Police said the crash involved two passenger vehicles and a transport truck.
OPP announced Wednesday they have now arrested 36-year-old Chelsey Kilar of Red Rock on an outstanding warrant for multiple charges related to the collision.
The alleged offences include dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death and operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs.
None of the charges has been tested in court.
The accused is being held in custody pending a court appearance on July 7.
