Arrest made in Ware Township shooting incident

THUNDER BAY – Police have arrested a 35-year-old Fowler Township man following a recent shooting incident at a Ware Township residence.

Ontario Provincial Police said Jordan Couch has been taken into custody in connection with the Oct. 15 incident.

Police say they arrived on scene at about 5 p.m. on the day in question and quickly determined a firearm had been discharged at the home.

The suspect was allegedly seen fleeing the scene on a side-by-side.

Couch has been charged with careless storage of a firearm, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, discharging a firearm into or at a place in a reckless manner and mischief endangering life.

The accused has been remanded to the Thunder Bay Jail, after appearing in court on Wednesday morning.

None of the accusations have been proven in court.
