Arson suspected as multiple vehicles set on fire

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responds to early morning call to find four vehicles engulfed in flames; police treating as a criminal matter.

THUNDER BAY – City police are investigating an arson attack after a number of vehicles were set on fire on Commerce Street early Monday morning.

Police, in a release, said Thunder Bay Fire Rescue arrived on the scene just before 1 a.m. to find several vehicles engulfed in flames, including a dump truck, two vans and a passenger car.

The fire appeared to have been intentionally set.

Police secured the scene and continues to investigate.
