The Thunder Bay Art Gallery has announced the hiring of their new Curator.
Monday was the first day on the job for Nadia Kurd. She brings with her experience as a coordinator with the South Asian Art Collective in Toronto. Kurd said she hopes to bring a new perspective to the gallery, focusing on local artists and promoting them on a larger scale. She also said one long term goal is to bring the Thunder Bay Gallery into the 21st century.
Kurd has a Masters in Art History from York University and is working towards her PhD through McGill University.
