THUNDER BAY -- The province, through the Ontario Arts Council, has delivered more than $300,000 in grants to various culture groups in this city and region.
The bulk of the funds went to the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, which received a total of $286,000 in funding for three of its programs.
Programs funded include the TBSO’s touring project, which goes through the northwest during fall and winter.
Atikokan Entertainment series is receiving $6,000, which will go toward its six shows planned between now and the early spring.
