DRYDEN, Ont. – One woman is in custody and facing charges after an assault sent two people to hospital with serious injuries.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police media release, officers responded to reports of a disturbance in Wabigoon just after 5:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Officers found two injured people who were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment of what police are calling serious injuries.
A 27-year-old Pikangikum woman was arrested by Dryden OPP and charged with aggravated assault. She is expected to appear in court on Oct. 14.
The investigation is ongoing.
