Attardo's hat trick delivers Chill's second win of 2024

Thunder Bay finishes with a 1-1 record on their road trip and will host St. Croix for a pair next weekend.

ROCHESTER, Minn – Tyler Attardo was brought on board to score goals, and score goals he did on Friday night.

The Thunder Bay Chill striker fired three balls in the Rochester FC net, leading his club to a 4-0 road win that improved their record to 2-0-1.

Attardo, who spent last season with FC Manitoba, scored in the ninth, 22nd and 57th minute as the Chill evened their road trip record at a win and a loss, following Wednesday night’s 1-0 loss to Minneapolis City.

Thunder Bay’s own Nicholas Phyllis rounded out the scoring in the 75th minute.

Four Thunder Bay player drew yellow cards in the match, two fewer than Rochester, whose Juan Lopez Arteaga was penalized with two, leading to a red card in the 78th minute.

Armaan Thawer earned the clean sheet in goal for the Chill.

Next up for Thunder Bay is a pair of home dates on Friday and Sunday against St. Croix. Game time Friday night is 7 p.m. at Chapples Field.
