Attempted murder suspect in James Street assault case to seek bail

Jordan Windego, 25, was wanted by Thunder Bay police as a suspect in connection to a June 11 assault after officers discovered a male victim with serious injuries in the 700-block of James Street.

THUNDER BAY - A 25-year-old Fort Frances man facing a charge of attempted murder in connection to a serious assault that took place on James Street will return to court next Thursday for a bail hearing.

Jordan Windego was wanted by Thunder Bay police as a suspect in connection to a June 11 assault after officers discovered a male victim with serious injuries in the 700-block of James Street. 

Two days later, police received information of two individuals armed with knives in the hallway of an apartment on May Street on June 13. A male was located by police and identified as the accused in connection to the James Street assault. 

Windego was subsequently arrested and charged with aggravated assault and obstructing a police officer as well as attempt murder in connection to the James Street assault.

Court documents show Windego will appear in court next on Aug. 20 for a bail hearing.
