THUNDER BAY - A woman accused of stabbing a man in the city’s south side in late June will appear in a courtroom by video later this week for a bail hearing.
Larissa Mary Jacob, 25, is charged with assault with a weapon, failure to comply with a judicial release and breach of probation after an incident on June 25.
Jacob appeared before a justice of the peace on Monday, July 6, to set a date for a bail hearing, at the request of her counsel.
Thunder Bay police were initially called to a residential address in the 200-block of Cumming Street just after 9 p.m. following reports of an assault, according to a news release issued on June 25.
Officers located a male victim with non-life threatening injuries sustained during a recent assault.
A court-ordered publication ban is in effect which prevents the publication of evidence and information discussed at the accused’s court appearance on Monday.
Jacob will appear in court next by video on July 8.
