City Council will be asked tonight to give its blessing to three more Bell Mobility towers in Thunder Bay.
The towers are slated for Mapleward Road, Arthur Street and Oliver Road.
Opposition was voiced at previous council meetings about the look, location and health impact of each of the three antenna structures.
The report to council states residents’ concerns have been taken seriously and the antenna structure design, height and lighting at all three locations have been modified to respond to neighbours’ concerns.
Bell Mobility has been working to improve its wireless communications network in the region. At least one City Councillor has called for a moratorium on cellular towers in Thunder Bay.
Council will also review the latest changes to the city's official plan tonight.
