THUNDER BAY – A coroner’s investigation has been called to look into the death of a man whose body was located in the area of Loch Lomond Lake.
Anishinabek Police Service, in a release issued on Thursday, said they received a call regarding an abandoned motor vehicle located on the Fort William First Nation.
The investigation revealed the vehicle was registered to a male reported missing to the Thunder Bay police three weeks ago.
The OPP emergency response team conducted a search in the area of Loch Lomond Lake on Feb. 10. They located a deceased male who was identified as a 25-year-old from Thunder Bay.
A post-mortem examination was conducted on Feb. 15 in Toronto and this matter will continue as a coroner’s investigation.
