THUNDER BAY - Police are holding a scene in Chapples Park after a body was discovered late Sunday morning.
Several Thunder Bay Police Service vehicles were on the scene and blocking vehicle access to the park. A large area inside the park was also taped off and a forensic identification van was parked in the area.
According to a Thunder Bay Police media release, officers were dispatched to the park just after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday after a passerby located what they believed to be a body.
Police continue to hold the scene and are asking the public to avoid the area.
The investigation is in the very early stages, Police said, and no other details can be confirmed at this time.
