Body found on Mission Island believed to be victim of homicide

Police received call from a passerby that led to body being discovered in area of 108th Avenue.

THUNDER BAY -- City police believe a body discovered on Mission Island could be a murder victim.

Thunder Bay police said a body was found in the area of 108th Avenue on Sunday afternoon, after receiving a call from a passerby.

Police said the incident is being investigated as a homicide.

The victim is described as a Caucasian male in his early 40s with a thin build. An autopsy is being scheduled.
