KENORA, ON — Ontario Provincial Police have identified a man whose body they recovered from Lake of the Woods.
The deceased is a 41-year-old man, Leslie Martin of Washagamis Bay (Obashkaandagaang) First Nation.
OPP said they were dispatched Friday to the White Partridge Bay area of Lake of the Woods after a man had reportedly entered the water and failed to resurface.
Members of the OPP Marine and Trails Unit along with the Treaty Three Police Service commenced a search.
Martin's body was subsequently located nearby.
