A pair of workplace injury cases in their Thunder Bay facility is going to cost Bombardier.
The company has been fined a total of $280,000 over two separate injury cases at the rail-car plant, the Ministry of Labour announced on Friday.
The first incident occurred in April 2012 after an employee had the tip of his finger crushed by a piece of equipment, leading to a partial amputation of the finger.
The second incident occurred in July 2012 when a worker sustained arm and hand injuries after coming into contact with an electrical current.
The Montreal-based company pleaded guilty in both cases, leading to a fine of $140,000 for each incident as well as a 25 per cent victim surcharge.
