Border Cats begin 2018 on road

THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Border Cats will open their 16th season on the road against the Bismarck Larks.

The Northwoods League team on Thursday released its 2018 schedule, the team starting its quest for a third title on May 29.

Their home opener will take place on Saturday, June 2 against the Mankato Moodogs, a 7:35 p.m. start.

Once again the Border Cats Sunday contests will be matinee affairs, and include a Canada Day battle against the Waterloo Bucks.

The Cats will conclude the 2018 campaign on Aug. 12 at home against the Willmar Stingers.
