Boy, 16, charged with second-degree murder in Fort Hope

A 16-year-old boy from the Fort Hope First Nation faces second-degree murder following a stabbing death in that community.

According to police, the incident happened last Friday night and resulted in the death of a 17-year-old male from the community, which is located north of Geraldton.

The accused was taken into custody Saturday and is scheduled to appear in Thunder Bay court on August 3.
