Brampton man charged following a drug bust

A 25-year-old man faces drug-related charges after police executed a search warrant on Cameron Street.

THUNDER BAY -- A 25-year-old man faces drug-related charges after police seized crack cocaine, and more than $12,000 in cash after executing a search warrant.

Police, in a release, say just before 5 a.m. on Wednesday police executed a search warrant into an apartment of a multi-residential dwelling on the 200 block of Cameron Street.

As a result of the search, officers located crack cocaine valued at $22,000, more than $12,000 in cash and a BB handgun.

Police arrested 25-year-old William Escoffery of Brampton, Ontario. He has been charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and breach of probation.

He appeared in court and was remanded into custody.
