Police are investigating a break in at the former Thunder Bay Fine Papers plant that led to tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage.
Thunder Bay Police Service officers were called to the 550 Shipyard Drive address shortly after 3 a.m. Wednesday. A security guard at the facility heard breaking glass and other noises from one of the buildings on the property.
While the exact value of goods damaged have not been made public, police estimate tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage was evident at the scene.
Office equipment, including computers, appeared to have been destroyed during he break in.
One of the suspects may have injured themselves during the break in. Officers noticed a trail of blood inside the building. Police searched the area but could not locate a suspect.
