Burgess rink drops opener at world juniors qualifier

SASKATOON, Sask. – Dallas Burgess opened with a loss to start the 2021 World Juniors Qualifier in Saskatoon, Sask.

The Thunder Bay skip fell 6-4 to Alberta’s Johnson Tao on Tuesday morning at the Saville Community Sports Centre, giving up a pair in the ninth end that wiped out a 4-3 Burgess lead.

Burgess, whose team includes Brayden Sinclair, Matthew Duizer and Jackson Dubinsky, will take on Manitoba’s Jordon McDonald on Tuesday night.
