A major figure in Thunder Bay's Italian community is celebrating a significant milestone.
Mario Caccamo will broadcast his 50th anniversary episode of Italian Panorama this upcoming Sunday, Dec. 25. The broadcast will air in the morning on CKPR Radio.
He said the broadcast was first created to provide information to immigrants.
“You feel so content that after all you are still in touch with the motherland,” he said. “This is despite the fact that you like the new land.”
Caccamo added that he will continue to air the show for as long as God lets him.
