There has been a strong response to a Canadian Blood Services call for more plasma donations this holiday season.
But officials say more is still needed.
The Christmas campaign had set a target of 500 additional donations, and already 400 people have come forward to answer the call.
Canada Blood Services officials remain hopeful people will find a free hour during the busy holiday season to help them meet their goal.
Community Development co-ordinator Brain Markic said the campaign runs through Jan. 7.
Markic is also encouraging people to continue their plasma donations throughout the year.
