The list of candidates planning to run in Thunder Bay's next municipal election continues to grow.
Former Neebing Coun. Gary Shchepanik filed his nomination papers at City Hall, in hopes of winning back the seat from current Neebing Coun. Linda Rydholm.
Rydholm defeated Shchepanik in the 2003 election, and she then went unchallenged in 2006. Shchepanik says unlike Rydholm, who supports moving ahead with a new arena, he'd like to see the issue go to a plebiscite so the voters can decide.
As for the controversial wind farm project in Neebing, Shchepanik says he's totally opposed to the development.
