The Thunder Bay District Car Club teamed up with other car clubs in Thunder Bay this year for the annual poker run. The scavenger-hunt style race was held  in June, and the proceeds have since been tallied and are now being passed on to Camp Quality.

The $14,000 donation was given to Camp Quality Monday night.

The money will give kids suffering from cancer the chance to spend one week at Camp Duncan on Loon Lake. It also helps support the nearly 75 staff who work on site and with the children.

Camp Quality needs $100,000 a year in donations to keep running.

Lynda Lawrie from Camp Quality says she's extremely grateful for everyone who participated.
