THUNDER BAY - There was a strange sight at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre emergency department on Tuesday afternoon, after a car drove right up to the entranceway.
According to hospital officials, at approximately 2 p.m. a car drove up to the emergency department, stopping just short of the sliding doors, and parked. There were no reports of injuries or damage resulting from the incident. Thunder Bay Police officers already posted to the hospital dealt with the situation and removed the car.
A police spokesperson said no one was placed under arrest as a result of the incident and hospital officials were not able to elaborate on the situation, citing patient confidentiality.
