Residents of a south side street had some waterfront property they didn’t want Monday morning.
A six-inch water main broke on North Syndicate Avenue near Cumming Street, leaving behind a car-sized sinkhole.
City crews were on scene around 8 a.m. to repair the damage and close off the street.
City officials say it should be fixed, and the street reopened, by 4:30 p.m.
