THUNDER BAY – At least four people were pulled from a McTavish Street home on Sunday evening, victims of possible carbon monoxide poisoning.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue said early Monday morning the conditions of the four victims were unknown.

A spokesperson said upon arrival their carbon monoxide detector alarms went off.

An additional pumper was called and crews equipped with self-contained breathing apparatus equipment entered the residence, located in the 600 block of the East End street, and the victims were removed and taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for treatment.

Thunder Bay Police have taken over the scene and are not letting anyone into the residence.

Nine firefighters, two pumpers and the platoon chief responded to the call, as well as police and paramedics.
