A Thunder Bay man charged with attempted murder has had his case adjourned until September.

Casimir King, 27, was charged with attempted murder and careless use of a firearm in the shooting of 28-year-old Scott McKinnon on May 18 at a party at Pace Lake.

King’s case was pushed back to Sept. 3 on Wednesday at the Ontario Court of Justice.

A family member of McKinnon’s told CKPR Radio in May that McKinnon sustained multiple life-threatening injuries after being shot twice.

Police originally took two men into custody following the incident. One man was released later, while King had a bail hearing.

An official with the Crown attorney confirmed in May that the suspect was released following that bail hearing.
