Casino mugger gets probation

The youth charged in a September purse snatching from a 90-year-old woman outside the OLG Casino in Thunder Bay has been given 18 months probation for his crime.

The youth charged in a September purse snatching from a 90-year-old woman outside the OLG Casino in Thunder Bay has been given 18 months probation for his crime.

The youngster, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, will also have to pay restitution to the woman, who spent time in hospital following the brazen daylight attack caught on video surveillance, and faces a concurrent 18 months of probation for breaching an earlier probation sentence.
