The Canadian Auto Workers union is joining the call for a national public inquiry into missing and murdered aboriginal women. The union donated $100,000 to 50 women shelters across the country Tuesday.

The union donated $100,000 to 50 women shelters across the country Tuesday.

Here in Thunder Bay, the CAW presented the Beendigen womens shelter with a cheque for $2,000.

The donations are in conjunction with International Women's Day, which happens this Friday.
