Fort William Historical Park is gearing up for a big weekend that's sure to please folk music and rock music fans alike.

The Celtic Fair kicks off Friday afternoon and runs until Sunday.

Fort spokesman Marty Mascarin says one of the highlights will be the live jousting competitions.  The Knights of Valour are coming in from Simcoe, Ontario and they specialize in Medieval warfare. They are expected to provide some old-style entertainment during each day of the festival.

The Celtic Fair also includes some big-name musicians, such as Canadian Blues rocker Colin James.

The Friday night lineup features local fiddler Pierre Schreyer, along with the Irish Rovers.

Then on Saturday night, thousands are expected to turn out to see James, followed by headliner Pat Benatar, who had a string of rock hits in the 1980s.

Mascarin says people can save money for the Saturday concert by buying them in advance.
