THUNDER BAY -- The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce welcomed their newest Chair Thursday night, at the chamber's 2017 Annual General Meeting.
Jim Stadey was announced as this year's Chair of the Board for the Chamber of Commerce, in front of a packed ballroom at the Victoria Inn.
Stadey, who owns Eat Local Pizza, said he's looking to use his background in Agriculture and Food Service to provide new opportunities in the city.
“My background is in agriculture and food service, so I’m really interested to see if I can reach out to those two sectors,” he said.
“I have a lot of experience…I grew up on a farm just outside the city, so I believe that will help connect me with the agriculture sector.”
He also has 19 years of experience with the food service industry, which will give him a bit of an understanding with what those businesses are looking for.
Stadey takes over for previous Chair Mark Mikulasik who will stay on as a member of the Board of Directors.
