Chamber president in Toronto to speak on forest tenure reform

The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is having its say on the Province's forest tenure reform.

The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is having its say on the Province's forest tenure reform. Committee hearings on Bill 151 were limited to Toronto so Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce president Harold Wilson was in the provincial capital Monday to voice his concerns.

Wilson said he had a chance to read the chamber’s formal submission to the hearing. The chamber is hoping for two amendments to the Bill before it enters third reading. Wilson said limiting local forest management committees to two and allowing companies some recourse when they lose their license are key to making the legislation work.
