Need to apply for a Criminal Record Search?
The Thunder Bay Police Service is changing their process and forms to align with the Law Enforcement and Record (Managers) Network (LEARN) Guideline for Police Record Checks released by the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP).
There will be two (2) levels of Police Record Checks offered:
1. Police Information Check (PIC)
2. Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
In order to apply for your Police Record Check, you will need the following:
1. BIG NEW CHANGE:
Whether applying for employment, volunteer work, or for education purposes,
Applicants will now have to provide a letter from the Agency or Organization requesting the Police Record Check identifying whether that Applicant requires a Police Information Check (PIC) or a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC).
2. AS ALWAYS:
An Applicant must provide two (2) valid pieces of identification; one of which must be government-issued and include the Applicant's name, date of birth, signature and photo. Acceptable forms of ID include: driver's licence, birth certificate, passport, status card, citizenship card, firearms licence, outdoors card, pleasurecraft card, Ontario photo card. We DO NOT accept Health cards or SIN cards.
*You will not be able to apply for your Police Record Check without these requirements*
