Charge laid in aggravated assault case in Marathon

The victim suffered serious facial injuries.

MARATHON, Ont. — Ontario Provincial Police have charged a Marathon resident after a serious assault in the community last weekend.

Police say the victim suffered facial wounds in the Aug. 22 incident, and had to be taken by air ambulance to Thunder Bay for treatment.

A 21-year-old woman from Marathon is charged with aggravated assault.

He appeared in court, and was remanded for his next appearance on Oct. 8, 2020.
